Mi-Co Releases Mi-Forms v8.0 for Mobile Data Collection, including Web-FormsDurham, NC (Jan. 05, 2010) – Mi-Co, the Mobile Data Collection company, today announced the release of version 8.0 of its powerful Mi-Forms software platform for electronic data capture. Mi-Forms, already used in several Fortune 500 companies, leading hospital systems, government agencies and more now presents even more possibilities for partners and customers. Loaded with several new features and capabilities Mi-Forms v8.0 has “something for everyone.” Mi-Forms v8.0 takes advantage of Microsoft .NET 3.5 for performance and stability and incorporates several changes into the Mi-Forms Server component of the system. The Mi-Forms server will now support web-forms for administrative back-office users on the same system that supports Tablet PCs and Anoto© based Digital-Pen Technology. This will allow for seamless co-ordination between back-office administrative users or supervisors and field personnel. The v8.0 server also features ink merging from multiple Digital-Pen sessions by multiple users, allowing streamlined data collection across sessions and users. The Designer component of Mi-Forms v8.0 also incorporates such changes as CDISC ODM data palettes, official MS Visual Studio 2008 support and more. These changes make Mi-Forms v8.0 compatible with any Clinical electronic data capture (EDC) system that works on the CDISC standard and allows for data import and export to and from these systems with ease. According to Greg Clary, CEO of Mi-Co, “Mi-Forms v 8 enhances Mi-Forms’ platform independence by introducing new web form capabilities that leverage the powerful Mi-Forms solution especially for applications such as clinical site monitoring reports, federal compliance inspections and healthcare documentation.” Kevin Robbins, Vice President of e-Products at Briggs Corporation, Mi-Co partner says, " I have no doubt that Mi-Forms version 8 will be appreciated by our OASISync-for-home-health customers. The improved ink handling, the new web-forms capability and new Mi-Forms Server reporting tools are very appealing.” For more information about Mi-Forms and the Mi-Co solution for mobile electronic data collection, please contact Mi-Co at www.mi-corporation.com or info@mi-corporation.com.
